This week’s MAIN EVENT features a musical event at Lake Wappapello and an overdose awareness event in Poplar Bluff.
People can head to The Camp at Lake Wappapello Friday and Saturday for Music of the Mind, a two-day music and camping festival whose proceeds promote mental health aid. Admission is $30 for a one-day pass online or $35 cash only at the gate.
McLane Park will host its overdose awareness event beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday. This free event is an awareness and support event for families who have lost loved ones to drug overdoses. Attendees are encouraged to bring a photo of lost loved ones. Also, a memorial plaque for Laramie Goodluck will be dedicated. There will also be bounce houses and food trucks will be on site.
