An Air Force veteran secured the Republican nomination Tuesday for Missouri auditor.

Sandra McDowell, an attorney from Jefferson City, received 33 percent of the vote against three challengers.

She will face incumbent Democrat Nicole Galloway in November.

Vote totals were: McDowell, 192,814; David Wasinger, 158,071 (27 percent); Kevin Roach, 143,745, (24 percent); and Paul Curtman, 97,055 (16 percent).
