Family nurse practitioner, board certified and oncology certified nurse, Jessica McCain, has joined the medical staff of Regional Physician Services.
McCain will be accepting new patients at the Danny Bell Cancer Center at 2620 N. Westwood Blvd. Her areas of expertise include cancer treatment and blood disorders.
“I am pleased to welcome Mrs. Jessica McCain, FNP-BC, OCN to our cancer center,” said Dr. Kavitha Paramanathan, MD, Regional Physician Services hematologist/oncologist. “She has an excellent knowledge of cancer treatment with a strong passion and dedication to our cancer patients. It is our mission to provide the latest, high quality cancer care close to home.”
McCain graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, her Bachelor of Science (BSN) from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri and Associate Degree in Nursing from Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff.
Before joining Regional Physician Services as an FNP-BC, OCN, McCain worked at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on the post-operative floor as a nurse and transitioned to oncology at the Danny Bell Cancer Center in 2018.
Before going into the medical field, McCain was a parole officer. She is a Poplar Bluff native and lives in town with her husband and children. In her spare time, she enjoys working out and listening to podcasts.
