BLOOMFIELD — Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney Russ Oliver has announced that on Wednesday, David Ryan Troyer was sentenced to 22 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Circuit Judge Robert Mayer.
Due to the manner in which Oliver charged Troyer, the defendant is statutorily ineligible for parole, meaning he will be required to serve every day of the 22-year sentence.
A Stoddard County jury had previously found Troyer guilty of first-degree child molestation on Sept. 13. At the trial, he was convicted of criminal sexual contact with a 2-year-old child.
Due to the sensitive nature of the crime and to protect the identity of victim, no further statement will be released by Oliver’s office.
