The man arrested for a double homicide in Doniphan has been identified. Dillon Leroux, 19, of Doniphan was arrested Sunday for the murders of Eric and Kathryn Pudivitr.
The Doniphan Police Department received a call Saturday, Jan. 13, reporting Eric Pudivitr was found deceased at his Ripley County residence. When law enforcement arrived, they also discovered the body of Kathryn Pudivitr.
The Ripley County Major Case Squad was activated to investigate.
After his arrest, Leroux admitted to entering the residence of Eric and Kathryn Pudivitr and shooting them both, according to a statement released Monday by Ripley County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Michel.
Ripley County Sheriff Mike Barton believes the deceased were married.
Barton stated further details of the case are currently being held back as the investigation continues.
“Investigations are always continued even if an arrest is made,” he said.
Leroux is charged with two counts of first degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, burglary first degree and unlawful use of a weapon. Michel indicated further charges are being considered. Leroux is being held without bond at the Ripley County Detention Center.
