Maj. Sean Christopher Vinson, 43, formerly of Poplar Bluff, recently announced his retirement after a 23-year career in the Army.

Vinson is the son of the late William Dean Vinson and Mary Vinson-Zadnick of Poplar Bluff. He is a 1990 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. Vinson and his wife, Trish, reside in Winchester, Tenn., with their family.

Following retirement, Vinson will serve the Tennessee Dept. of Conservation as manager of Tims Ford State Park. He previously worked for the Missouri Dept. of Conservation and has more than two decades of leadership experience. He is an avid sportsman and a devoted father and husband.
