Our MAIN EVENT this week has to be the Difference Makers banquet happening Thursday at the Black River Coliseum. This is the fourth annual event that we at the Daily American Republic have hosted.

We’re excited to honor these 10 Difference Makers from our area communities and recognize the 2022 Difference Maker of the Year.

If you don’t have tickets or can’t attend, don’t worry, we’ll be livestreaming portions of the event to our Facebook page. We’ll also be updating our website and social media Thursday night with all of the big news, including the final total raised for Haven House through this event, stories on our finalists and the Difference Maker of the Year, and much more.

Much of our Friday print edition will also contain these stories.

We want to thank all of the Difference Makers in our community and those who took time to nominate someone they know who is working every day to make our area a better place.

If you know someone who should be recognized, we’ll be honoring another group of Difference Makers in 2023.

This year’s finalists are: Jessica Billings, LuWanna Forister, Donna Gause, Judy Gregory, Linda Martin, Craig Meador, Gary and Liesa Pennington, Stacey Ritter, Amber Tyler and Karen Vallow.
