This week’s MAIN EVENT offers a chance to learn more about taking care of yourself over lunch with experts and an annual trade show hosted at the Black River Coliseum.

Missouri Highlands Health Care is hosting a lunch and learn at 11 a.m. Friday at 24445 N. Westwood Blvd.

Amanda Glaser, a certified nurse and midwife, and Robin Harwell, a licensed dietitian, will lead discussions on taking the first steps toward self care.

Qualified navigators will also be on site to offer free assistance.

“At Missouri Highlands Health Care (MHHC), we recognize that applying for programs like Medicaid and Marketplace can be intimidating, even if you know you qualify,” organizers shared in event notices. “Many individuals refrain from applying simply because the process seems daunting. Every individual’s situation is unique, and we tailor our assistance to your specific needs. You do not have to be a patient of MHHC to receive this free assistant service.”
