Northside Community Center recently held an in-person “Taking Care of You” course taught by John Fuller. Fuller described stress as a “billion-dollar industry” and cited a study saying around 75% of visits to doctors are due to stress and stress-related health problems. Finding balance in life is key to reducing stress and living a healthier life.

“What we try to do is just show people ... some areas that you can improve, or maybe take away, to balance out your life. And we also work on giving them tools of how to prioritize what’s important and what’s not so important,” he said.

The Lunch & Learn takes place in eight hour-long sessions from noon-1 p.m., on May 16, 18 23, 25 and 30, and June 1, 6 and 8. More information and signup materials are available at https://extension.missouri.edu/events/taking-care-of-you-lunch-learn-online-may/june.
