A Dunklin County teen was killed in a one-vehicle crash shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, on County Road 403, two miles west of Kennett.
The 14-year-old Kennett resident was operating a northbound 2015 Polaris Ranger when he over corrected and ran off the left side of the roadway, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The vehicle overturned and he was ejected from the driver’s seat, troopers report. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:15 p.m. by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell.
He is the 50th fatality for Troop E this year. The MSHP no longer releases the names of juveniles involved in traffic accidents.
