The staff and congregation of First Church of God, 3482 S. Westwood Blvd., Poplar Bluff, Mo., are reaching out to people in the community to join in the Carry the Cross event from 7-11 a.m. Friday, March 30.
The church's press release said, "this is a great opportunity for all believers in Christ to come together and take a stand in support for the gospel message of Jesus. We will be lining the side of the road along Highway 67 through town (Highway PP junction) with a display of crosses, each representing an expression of loves for those in our community."
Crosses will be provided, "we simply need volunteers to stand or sit by each and communicate the gospel through visible dramatization. For more information on how to be a part of this great ministry event," the press release stated.
