Jacquetta “Hook” Peterson passed away with her loving pet, Bella, Dec. 21, 2021 in Delta Junction, Alaska. Jacquetta was born Nov. 27, 1929 to Clarence Hooker and Maymie Hillin Hooker of Wardell, Missouri.
She married William James “Dub” Peterson April 12, 1947 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. The Petersons settled in Neelyville, Missouri in 1960.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dub; her parents, Clarence and Maymie; and her brother, James Hooker.
Jacquetta is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Bobby and Brenda Peterson of Delta Junction, Alaska; her grandchildren: Randy (Becky) Peterson of Delta Junction, Alaska and Brandi (Rick) Austin of Fairbanks, Alaska; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister: Evalyn Ellis, numerous nieces and nephews and friends that she cherished.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Browns Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri.
