The University of Missouri Butler County Extension office is presenting “Healthy Living for Brain and Body” as part of the Alzheimer’s Association series.
Attendees will learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these tips into a plan for healthy aging, said John Fuller, human development and family science field specialist for the University of Missouri Extension.
This class will be held from noon-1 p.m. Aug. 12. If you would like to register, call the office at 573-686-8064.
“There is no charge for the classes,” Fuller said. “If you are unable to attend this class, let us know so we can schedule an additional class.”
There will be a new topic on the second Thursday of every month. In September, Fuller said, “we will be discussing effective communication strategies.”
These classes are provided by the University of Missouri Butler County Extension Council, Alzheimer’s Association and the Butler County Commission.
