Savannah Hanner, a 2024 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School, has received the Dr. Michael D. Laseter Memorial Scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
Hanner, the daughter of Julie and Roger Hanner, is attending Three Rivers College to study nursing.
“I am very thankful that the Laseter family established this scholarship and that I had the privilege of receiving it,” Hanner said.
The Dr. Michael D. Laseter Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Donna Laseter and the Poplar Bluff Public School Foundation to benefit graduates of Poplar Bluff High School.
The CFO and its regional affiliate foundations — including the Ozarks Foothills Regional Community Foundation — hold about 480 scholarship funds, established by generous donors to help students from across central and southern Missouri achieve their goals of higher education. The application period for the 2025–26 school year will open Janunuary.
