State Rep. Hardy Billington joined Governor Mike Parson and Rep. Herman Morse on a tour of local businesses Monday, according to a press release.

While in the area, Parson talked about economic development and some recent business expansions in the region, Billington said. The tour took them to new facilities in Dudley, the home of W.W. Wood Products.

W.W. Wood Products has manufactured cabinets since 1977. It offers on-the-job training gives back to the community, Billington said.

“I was really impressed about how they care about the people that work for them, ensuring they have a good wage,” said Billington, R-Poplar Bluff. “I also commend them for their interest in giving back to the community.”

Billington serves as the state representative for House District 152, which is comprised of parts of Butler and Dunklin counties. Parson also toured the Purina facility in Bloomfield.
