The Butler County Genealogical Society’s next meeting will feature a presentation about rural schools.
Clinton Salyer, a former educator and principal in Butler County, is the speaker. His lecture will feature photographs of multiple schools and a map of their old locations.
The meeting is 1 p.m. Thursday at the Poplar Bluff History Museum, located in the former Mark Twain School on 1235 N. Main St. There is no cost to attend.
“The public is invited to attend the meeting, always,” said BCGS member Barbara Rexroat.
