The state fire marshal is investigating the fourth fire on Garfield Street in Fisk since Aug. 24.

The Thursday night event was also the fourth structure fire that county crews have responded to since Monday.

The latest fire was at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at 411 Garfield, with 10 Butler County firefighters spending between one and half and two hours battling the fire.

Three of the Fisk fires have been at the same residence, which belongs to Gary Lacy. The other fire was next door to Lacy’s property.

The fire Thursday night was on the backside of house, according to fire reports. Three county trucks were used at the scene.

Firefighters responded twice on Aug. 24 to the 411 Garfield St. address, according to reports. When the crew first arrived at 1:51 p.m., fire was on the outside of the house, firefighters said. It took three trucks and four firefighters to fight the fire.

On the second call, at 6:46 p.m. Aug. 24, the report stated heavy fire was found throughout the house. Crews responding include five firefighters and three trucks.

No cause has been identified for the fires.

County crews were also dispatched at 5:55 p.m. to 405 Garfield in Fisk. The fire, located in a small area of vinyl siding on the back of the house, was out when the firefighters arrived, according to reports. The owner of 405 Garfield is Jerry Hosenfeld.

Other fires this week included one at 2:28 a.m. Wednesday. Firefighters responded to a structure fire are 2111 County Road 654. There was heavy fire damage in the attic and smoke and water damage throughout the home owned by Preston and Brittany Edelmam.

The six firefighters used three trucks and were on the scene three hours, according to reports.

At 4:13 p.m. Wednesday, six firefighters responded to a structure fire at 88 Jerry Avenue, crews reported. There was fire damage to the ceiling in the attic above the garage at the home owned by Alicia Evans.

At 2:45 a.m. Friday, a county firefighter responded to a vehicle fire at 448 County Road 330. The 2013 Chevy Malibu is owned by Kristen Gentry. According to fire reports, the fire was on the driver’s side of the dash. The firefighter used 200 gallons to extinguish the fire and spent one hour at the scene.
