Only one of three Butler County municipalities has had a candidate file for the April 7 election, officials in Fisk, Neelyville and Qulin report.

Only one of three Butler County municipalities has had a candidate file for the April 7 election, officials in Fisk, Neelyville and Qulin report.

The Fisk city council has a seat open for ward one, ward two and mayoral. As of Wednesday afternoon, nobody had filed for any of the seats.

The ward one seat is currently held by Rick Adams, ward two by Doug Mosbey and the current mayor is John Murray.

Additionally, nobody has filed for either of the Neelyville seats ­— which are ward one and two.

The ward one seat currently is held by Linda Harris and the ward two seat currently is held by Darold Moran.

In Qulin, incumbent Cheryl Johnson has filed for re-election to her ward one seat and Douglas Ledbetter has filed for the mayoral seat. The current mayor is Glen Sedrick.

Nobody had filed as of Wednesday afternoon for the ward two seat, which currently is held by Mary Martin.
