First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will hold an in-person Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service on Dec. 24. It comes after two years of worshiping online for Christmas Eve, said Pastor Frank Chlastack.
“If the 5 p.m. time is too early because of family and friends get together and the 11 p.m. is too late for little ones, we have the perfect time of 9 p.m.,” he said. “Everyone is invited to come and to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Emmanuel God with us.”
The service will feature traditional songs and carols and end with the service of candlelight communion.
“All are welcome to God’s Welcoming Table and so we invite you to considering us to celebrate the birth of Jesus,” he said.
Weather permitting, the church will have its drive thru luminaries again for all too enjoy. This is a 30+ year tradition of the church.
