The COVID-19 pandemic has fostered diverse ways to work and study. Area farmers and agribusiness people, who use the winter to prepare for the coming crop seasons, are utilizing Zoom for training.
The University of Missouri Extension is scheduling its winter crop meetings through Zoom and offering them in shorter spans of time across a few dates in January.
Anthony Ohmes, extension agronomy specialist, said, “the soybean and corn meeting will be combined and consolidated to two hours.”
The first meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Jan. 14, covering policy updates from corn and soybean associations, market outlook and weed management, Ohmes said.
