CARTER COUNTY — A 36-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a one vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Highway 21, nine miles northeast of Van Buren.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brandy N. Foley, 36, of Ellsinore was operating a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu northbound at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday when it ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, an embankment and a tree.
Foley was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital. The MSHP was assisted by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, the Van Buren Police Department and Carter County first responders.
