ELLINGTON — A 65-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at 8:37 p.m. Sunday, April 11, on Highway 106, just west of Ellington. According to the report, James A. Hasty, 65, of Ellington was operating a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Highway 106 when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2019 Ford F-150 operated by David G. Ingrum, 45, of Millstadt, Illinois. Hasty’s vehicle then struck the unit that Ingrum was towing and traveled off the left side of the roadway...

ELLINGTON — A 65-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at 8:37 p.m. Sunday, April 11, on Highway 106, just west of Ellington.

According to the report, James A. Hasty, 65, of Ellington was operating a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Highway 106 when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2019 Ford F-150 operated by David G. Hasty was pronounced dead at the scene by Reynolds County coroner Jeff McSpadden at 9:22 p.m. and his body was transported to McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington.

This is Troop G’s 10th fatality for the year, compared to five at this time in 2020 and the first this month.
