From Staff Reports
Egypt Sherrod, host of HGTV's "Flipping Virgins" and "Property Virgins, will be the keynote speaker for the Women Aware Conference Thursday, Sept. 20, in the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff.
Conference Director Meredith Rines said, "This is our 31st year to bring the Women Aware conference to our community. As a committee, we love being able to plan a day filled with fun, learning and networking for our area's women.
"This year we have been working diligently to bring a keynote speaker of high caliber that we know our community will relate to, enjoy and feel inspired from," Rines said. "That's why we are so excited to have Egypt Sherrod speak this year. We know Egypt Sherrod will bring her insightful, engaging and motivational energy with her to the conference. I would imagine most of us have seen her on HGTV's "Flipping Virgins" or "Property Virgins" and it's going to be surreal to see her in our community and at the Women Aware conference."
Committee members believe Sherrod is the perfect speaker to focus attention on this year's theme, Passion With Purpose Leads You Home.
