A ‘weak’ tornado is suspected of causing severe damage between 3-4 a.m. Monday along Route JJ west of Fairdealing. The double-wide mobile home of Stacy and Blair Baucom was separated and a wall toppled while the occupants were sleeping. Ripley County Emergency Management director Lance Pigg estimated the winds at 60-70 mph and the storm’s path between 100-200 feet wide. The Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance.
