Music fans can check out performances of rhythm and blues, classical or musical theater in this week’s MAIN EVENT.

Rodgers Theatre has brought back its Opry series. The Best of Motown and More concert will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday. These rhythm and blues performers are returning to Poplar Bluff for this show. Tickets are $20 and the doors open at 5:30 p.m. Three Rivers College vocal and instrumental students will take the stage at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. They’ll offer an eclectic program that includes both classical and musical theater during their Spring Showcase. Admission is free.

— Ash Hill Cemeteries Cleanup Day, 8 a.m. to finish April 1. WHERE Ash Hill Cemetery, Fisk. COST Free. WHAT Help is greatly appreciated in cleaning and maintaining the Ash Hill Cemetery. Alternate rain date is April 8.

— Easter Eggstravaganza, 1-3 p.m. April 1. WHERE The Tinnin Fine Arts Center parking lot. COST Free. WHAT An Easter trunk or treat event. Kids should bring baskets and, if they wish, can wear non-scary costumes.

— The Best of Motown, 7-10 p.m. April 1 WHERE Rodgers Theatre COST $20 WHAT Sponsored by Southern Bank, this concert will include many hits. It is part of the Opry at the Rodgers series.

— Open studio, noon-4 p.m. April 2 WHERE Canvas & Grain Studio COST $15-$35 WHAT Various painting projects available. Guidance from staff offered.

— Easter Egg hunt, 12:30 p.m. April 2 WHERE Fellowship Church WHAT Fellowship Church will host their annual Easter Egg hunt.

— Spring Showcase, 7 p.m. April 4 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center COST Free WHAT The Three Rivers College music department vocal and instrumental students will perform an eclectic program of classical and musical theater.

— Fiber Side Chat Sessions: Internet Security and Safety, 3-4 p.m. April 6. WHERE Circle Fiber retail store. COST Free. WHAT An hour-long education session about fiber optic internet for individuals, families and organizations. — Teen hangout night, 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 7 WHERE Poplar Bluff Municipal Library WHAT Games, food and more. Open to ages 12-17.

— Annual spring highway clean up remembering Traci English, 10 a.m. April 8 WHERE Highway 60 East WHAT This begins at 10 a.m. and is organized by Erin English Deaton and Renea Forsythe.

—Second Annual Easter Egg Hunt, noon April 8 WHERE Black River Coliseum Aquatic and Fitness Center COST Free WHAT The age groups will be 0-4 years old (noon-1 p.m.), 5-7 years old (1:15-2:15 p.m.), 8-10 years old (2:30-3:30 p.m.) and 11-14 years old (3:45-4:45 p.m.). Prizes will also be given out.

— Easter at the Rodgers, 10 a.m. April 9 WHERE Rodgers Theatre COST Free WHAT A service will be offered by West Side Church, along with free concessions, confetti cannons for each family and more. An offering will be taken up with all proceeds going to the restoration of the Rodgers.

— Easter service and egg hunt, 10:30 a.m. April 9 WHERE First Baptist Church WHAT A contemporary Easter service will be offered, followed by an Easter egg hunt.

WHAT A fundraiser for the Friends of the Poplar Bluff Public Library, contestants use edible materials to create an entry related to a book title. More information: poplarbluff.org.

— Silly Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 15 WHERE Black River Coliseum COST Free WHAT The first 400 children will receive a free book. Activities include kinder songs concert, entertainment, crafts and activities, games and Earth Day art show. Hosted by Children Ready to Enter School Committee in partnership with the Butler County Community Resource Council. Information will be provided on child care services, nutrition, children’s fitness and more.

— Choir Jam, 7 p.m. April 17 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center COST $15 WHAT Sponsored by three local church choirs, this will be an “uplifting, praise-filled performance.”

— Missouri Highlands Regional Health Fair, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 20 WHERE Black River Coliseum COST Free WHAT This event will include local community resource tables and a mobile food pantry sponsored by New Life Christian Church.

— Sacred Heart School Fiesta Auction, 5 p.m. April 22 WHERE Black River Coliseum COST $20-$30 per ticket WHAT This annual fundraiser includes live and silent auctions, games and raffles. Tickets include dinner and two adult beverages.

— MercyMe Always Only Jesus Tour, 5:30 p.m. April 23 WHERE Black River Coliseum COST $23-$65 WHAT Doors open at 5:30, show begins at 7 p.m. This concert was rescheduled from 2022. Original tickets will be honored. Information on new tickets is available at ticketmaster.com.

— The Pajama Game, 7 p.m. April 28 and April 29 WHERE Tinnin Fine Arts Center COST Free WHAT The Three Rivers College music department’s annual musical is about a union strike at a pajama factory that “generates plenty of heat in this toe-tapping, comedic love story.”

— Ozark Mountain Daredevils, 7 p.m. April 29 WHERE Black River Coliseum COST $25-$75 WHAT The band, which got its start in 1971, will perform hits like, “If You Wanna Get To Heaven,” “Jackie Blue,” “Chicken Train,” “Standing On The Rock.”
