The Chinese restaurant Chin on Westwood Boulevard is getting a new location and a new name, according to Poplar Bluff Building Inspector Tony Chilton.
Feng’s, as it will be rebranded, will be taking over the old Office Depot location at 1401 Vine St.
The restaurant bought the building and has been retrofitting it for food-service use. Feng’s will maintain the buffet-style format of the old location.
The last day of service at Chin was last Thursday. The new venue will open sometime in November, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
“We are very thankful for your business and support,” the post stated.
Chilton speculated the owners decided to buy and renovate the Office Depot building due to the high rent at the Westwood location.
“They’re not going to use the whole space,” he added.
Instead, Feng’s will wall off the main section for the restaurant while leasing out the remainder of the building as office space.
