Volunteers are in need of more than 30,000 candy canes for the 30th annual Festival of Lights Auto Tour and partners are asking for donations.
The University of Missouri Wayne County Extension and the Wayne County 4-H have joined with the Wappapello Lake Area Association and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to help with this effort.
The goal is to collect 3,000 boxes, said Kelley Brent, Extension county engagement specialist.
“We have four drop off locations for donations: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake, MU Wayne County Extension office in Greenville, Country Kitchen Restaurant in Puxico, and the MU Butler County Extension office in Poplar Bluff,” said 4-H Youth Program Associate Davida Pedigo.
Monetary donations may be sent to WLAA, P.O. Box 66, Wappapello, MO 63966.
The auto tour will be open from 5-9 p.m. weekends only from Nov. 25 - Dec. 11 and nightly from Dec. 16-25 at Redman Creek East Campground
