Butler County authorities called to shooting in Hilliard area

Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs reports his department is investigating a shooting believed to have occurred Wednesday morning in the Hilliard area.

“We had a report of a male subject shot numerous times in the Hilliard area,” said Dobbs, who indicated the call had been made by a motorist.

The man, Dobbs said, was taken by ambulance for treatment.
