From Staff Reports

Saturday, May 13, the Woolard Family will host a "Pay-by-Donation" yard sale from 8 a.m. until close in the parking lot of Somewhere in Time Antiques in Poplar Bluff. Although the Woolard Family lives in Poplar Bluff, Ashley is a graduate of Puxico High School and she attends Puxico First Baptist Church along with her husband, Brandon, and their three children: Maddison, Jacquelyn and Charlotte.

Several years ago the Woolards felt they were led to adopt as a witness of the love and hope of Jesus. Their ultimate goal is to be able to welcome a child into their family and to encourage others to act on their faith and follow the example Christ has set for them.

Once they learned how to proceed, the family had to decide from which country they would adopt. They learned the need to adopt was very high in India; many children are absorbed into child trafficking and sex trade. Their next decision was whether to adopt a boy or a girl. "Since we are blessed with three wonderful girls," Brandon Woolard said, "we decided to adopt a boy who will be named Isaiah."

The yard sale set for Saturday, May 13, is one of many ways the family hopes to defray expenses associated with adopting Isiah. They are also having a T-shirt fundraiser, shirts can be ordered at bonfire.com/the-woolards-are-ado9pting-from-ini/.

"My wife, Ashley," Brandon added, "is keeping a blog of our progress. The link for the blog is BringingHomeIsaiah.blogspot.com."

The family wished to thank everyone for their prayers and encouragement.
