Get those pillowcases and candy buckets ready to stock up on Halloween candy you will still be throwing away at Easter.
Boys and ghouls everywhere are gearing up for the sweetest night of the cold weather season, All Hallows’ Eve, Oct. 31. Children and families have several options this year to celebrate the Halloween season in style in Poplar Bluff and the surrounding areas.
• 6-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, Peoples Community Bank will hold a community appreciation trunk or treat event at there location 3529 S. Westwood Blvd. There will be hot dogs, treats and giveaways.
• 5:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, the downtown dog park located at 400 S. Second St. will host The Day of the Halloween Dog Costume Contest. During the event they will have dog toys and treats available for your furry family friend.
• 5:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, the Black River Coliseum Aquatic & Fitness Center will be having a pumpkin plunge. Participants will be able to jump into the pool for a pumpkin they will then be able to decorate. There will also be goodie bags of candy for all participants.
• 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, Fellowship Church will be holding a trunk or treat event located at 3581 N. Westwood Blvd.
• 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, there will be free trick or treating, a costume contest, and Halloween activities at the Stars And Stripes Museum in Bloomfield.
• 1-5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, the Camp at Lake Wappapello will hold Spooktacular 2022.
• 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, World Finance will be holding a trunk or treat event located at 771 N. Westwood Blvd.
• 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, the First Baptist Church located at 551 N. Westwood Blvd., will be hosting a trunk or treat event.
• 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, First Church of God, located at 3482 S. Westwood Blvd., will be hosting a trunk or treat event.
• 5:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31, Greenville High School FCCLA is co-hosting a trunk or treat and fall festival to be held on Maple Street and the Greenville City Park.
• 5-7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31, Peoples Community Bank will hold a community appreciation trunk or treat event at the Puxico location at 422 S. Hwy 51, next to the park.
• 5-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31, Dexter Parks and Recreation will be hosting a Halloween Happening event located at East Park on Highway 114 in Dexter. There will be food vendors, bounce houses, trick or treating, music and more at the community event.
