ELLINGTON — One person suffered moderate injuries at 7:16 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, when they were ejected from a boat in the Current River, 10 miles west of Ellington. ELLINGTON — One person suffered moderate injuries at 7:16 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, when they were ejected from a boat in the Current River, 10 miles west of Ellington.

According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 1998 Blazer boat operated by Damien W. Ball, 37, of Ellington struck a submerged rock and ejected his passenger, Amanda J. Ball, 38, also of Ellington.

She was transported by helicopter to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
