A boat collision Saturday injured a Doniphan man on the Current River.
The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m., three miles north of Doniphan, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers reported that a southbound 1997 Weldbilt boat driven by a 13-year-old Doniphan boy struck the starboard side of a 2024 Southfork, which was traveling northbound. The Southfork was being driven by William M. Jackson of Decatur, Illinois.
Walter L. Bowman, 55, of Doniphan, a passenger in the Weldbilt, was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.
Two passengers in the Southfork were thrown from the vessel, but the report did not state that either was injured.
