Back to School time is quickly approaching and to help parents take care of all those last minute items, the Twin Rivers School District will be hosting a Back to School Fair.
Twin Rivers School Board member Donna Sue Ashcraft-Fincher is heading up the Back to School Fair, which will be held from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Broseley Gym.
The fair is open to all Pre-K through 12th grade students in the Twin Rivers School District.
Ashcraft-Fincher said she is expecting at least 30 participants on site at the event.
"There will be plenty of supplies available for all students," Ashcraft-Fincher said. "Close to everything the students need will be available."
On-site, many services will be offered free of charge just in time for back to school, including vision exams, hearing tests, dental checks, haircuts by the Black River Beauty Academy as well as school supplies items and backpacks.
"Once students go through the line, there will be hot dogs and water available," Ashcraft-Fincher said.
Physicals for athletes will be offered during the day by Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center along with a physical therapist also available.
According to Ashcraft-Fincher, two-thirds of the student body turned out last year for the popular event.
Anyone can set up a booth at the Back to School Fair, the only requirement is to have some sort of school items for students.
Booths are still available for tomorrow according to Ashcraft-Fincher and can be secured by calling 573-328-4867 or 573-429-4180.
"We will still have space and will get a booth for anyone wanting to participate," she said.
