The Poplar Bluff Municipal Library is hosting its seventh annual Author Fair 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5.
The event was put on hiatus last year due to COVID-19.
This year’s guest speaker is Poplar Bluff native Reba Johnson, author of four inspirational nonfiction books: “Roar Lioness, ROAR!,” “A Time to Move,” “Go Team! How to Rev Up Your Awesome!” and “Bullies in the Boardroom.” She will give her presentation at noon, then join a panel discussion alongside L.E. Bounds and John Fisher entitled “The Ins & Outs of Publishing” at 12:45 p.m.
Approximately 35 Southeast Missourian authors, whose books range from fantasy to nonfiction, will have booths set up around the library.
“They really are from all different genres,” organizer Alora Bauer said.
Visitors can chat with the writers and buy copies of their works. There will also be door prizes.
“The more booths that you visit for the authors, the more chances you get to win a door prize,” Bauer explained.
The library is located at 318 N. Main St. More information is available by calling 573-686-8639, or visiting the Poplar Bluff Municipal Library Facebook page and poplarbluff.org.
