PUXICO, Mo. - Missouri Master Naturalist, Master Gardener, and Wildlife Artist Leslie Limberg will exhibit her nature-themed oil paintings for the month of August at the Mingo National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.
Limberg will be at the visitors center Friday, Aug. 4, and Saturday, Aug. 5, to share the wonders of Missouri wildlife through art, activities, and poetry. Get out of the heat with the kids for an inspirational, fun, and interactive art display.
Program Times:
Art Opening and Activities - Friday, Aug. 4, 4- 6 p.m.
Interactive Art Exhibit - Saturday, Aug. 5, 11 a.m. - noon and 1-2 p.m.
Limberg's work recently has been shown at the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area, Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center, and will soon be displayed at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center. Limberg has been inspired by nature since childhood, when she traipsed through the woods with her dad, hunting dove, quail, and duck. In her spare time, Leslie volunteers with habitat restoration efforts, water quality monitoring, and environmental education. Her five-acre property in rural St. Charles County is a platinum certified Audubon habitat.
