The Poplar Bluff R-I School District approved 12 resignations, one retirement and eight employments, including three administrative employments and contract renewals.
Certified staff resignations were as follows:
• Tracy Dobbs, special education teacher at Lake Road Elementary.
• Cassie LeGrand, first grade teacher at Oak Grove Elementary.
• Lesley Newsom, ag teacher at Poplar Bluff High School and head trap coach at PBHS and Poplar Bluff Junior High.
• Janel Rayfield, special education teacher at PBHS.
• Kyler Sowell, technology instruction interventionist at PBMS and swim coach and camp at PBHS (effective Feb. 15)
Classified personnel resignations are:
• Shamecia Hardimon, restorative support instructor at PBHS (effective Jan. 24).
• Tara Kara, companion aide at O’Neal Elementary (effective Feb. 9).
• Jessica Luecke, instructor at Mark Twain School (effective Feb. 6).
• Donald McCrary, custodian at Technical Career Center (effective Feb. 9).
• Emma Porch, custodian at the Early Childhood Center (effective Feb. 23).
• Kaci Tatum, secretary at Mark Twain School (effective March 4).
• Andrew Walker, bus driver at the Transportation Department (effective Jan. 31).
Resignations are effective at the end of the 2023-2024 school year unless otherwise noted.
The only retirement was Laura Hillis, administrative assistant/curriculum at the Central Office (effective June 28).
Approved certified personnel and supplemental duty employments were:
