The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.7 magnitude earthquake rumbled the region at 5:56 a.m. Wednesday.
Centered 7 1/2 miles north, northwest of Dyersburg, Tennessee, at a depth of nearly 9 miles, it was the strongest earthquake along the New Madrid seismic zone since a 3.6 magnitude quake in January 2018.
About 1,200 people responded to the USGS with reports of feeling some shaking with no damage reported.
