An organization that provides programs for mental health, substance use disorders and other outreach in Butler County and across Southeast Missouri has named a chief executive officer.
The Board of Directors of FCC Behavioral Health named Randy Ray as CEO, effective May 1, according to a press release. Ray has served as interim CEO for the past five months.
He has been with FCC Behavioral Health for the 25 years, starting his career as treatment technician. Ray gained experience in a variety of positions throughout the years, including a credentialed substance use disorders counselor, a community support worker and eventually the program director at Stapleton Center in Hayti.
Ray has demonstrated a strong work ethic, perseverance, and leadership qualities, according to FCC. His commitment to the agency and its clients led to Ray's appointment to the executive team, the organization said.
As a member of the executive team, Ray held the position of director of substance use disorder programs, chief operating officer and chief administrative officer.
Ray's strategic vision and advocacy in various roles with FCC will be essential in his new role, according to leadership.
Ray is also a member of the Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare, a board member of CommCare, which is a Missouri managed care organization, and retired from the U.S. Army.
"I am very proud of our agency. It is the dedicated personnel we employ that makes us great," Ray said.
FCC Behavioral Health is a private, non-profit community behavioral health center in rural Southern Missouri and was founded in 1976.
