Curtis Hesselrode, 42, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:44 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Hendrickson Park. Hesselrode was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on expired license plates ($500 bond). According to the report, Hesselrode was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

An employee at Rick’s 66 at 700 Highway 53 reported at 11:05 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, a white male stole food items and ran out of the store. The suspect was identified and a summons for stealing was mailed to his last known address, according to the report.

Joe Joiner reported at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, a previous tenant returned to his property after she was evicted. According to the report, the tenant left the property and a criminal summons was issued for trespassing.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Alternative School reported at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, a student attacked other students on several separate occasions. According to the report, this matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Tiara Holloway, 25, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, in the 900 block of South 11th Street. Holloway was booked in on a New Madrid County warrant for dangerous drugs (no bond) and a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on shoplifting ($100 bond) and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded at 11:43 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, to a suspicious fire at a building in the 900 block of West Pine Street. The property owner also reported that tires on two vehicles parked at the building were damaged, according to the report.
