A black 2008 Dodge van was found blocking the roadway at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in the 900 block of Hickory Street. Efforts to identify the owner failed and the vehicle was impounded and towed.

Shunta Webb, 44, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:56 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Probation and Parole Community Supervision Center at 1441 Black River Industrial Park Road. Webb was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on shoplifting, domestic assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no insurance. She was released on bond.

Gary Reed, 51, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at his residence in the 800 block of Butler Street. Reed was booked on a Butler County warrant for assault and Wayne County warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jessica Williams, 47, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:56 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at her residence in the 1800 block of Alice Street. Williams was booked on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Iwryn Adams, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:24 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, on North Main Street. Adams was booked on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on stealing and lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education reported at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, a registered sex offender reported a home address within 1000 feet of an elementary school in Poplar Bluff. Preliminary investigation confirmed the address was too close to the school, but the offender was deceased. A follow-up investigation will be conducted to confirm this.

Toni Morgan reported at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, drug paraphernalia was found in a rental property in the 800 block of Sanders Street after the tenants moved out. The paraphernalia was seized and placed into evidence for destruction.

LaRhonda Jackson reported at 7:21 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, her boyfriend assaulted her at their residence in the 400 block of Karen Drive.

Dawn Evans reported at 7:39 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, her car was struck by a black sport utility vehicle in the intersection of South Westwood Boulevard and Cherry Street. The sport utility vehicle left the scene, Evans followed it and got the license plate number.

Dylan Ward, 31, of Wappapello was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, during the investigation of a motor vehicle accident in the 200 block of South Ninth Street. Ward was booked on a charge of DWI and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Joseph Jones reported at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, three male suspects forced entry into his residence in the 700 block of Poplar Street. The suspects stole Jones’ benefit card and old cell phones and fled the scene on foot.

Drex M. White, 48, of Piedmont was arrested at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28. in Wayne County on four Wayne County misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear for failing to signal and on suspicion of DWI, driving while revoked and no registration. He was booked at the Wayne County jail.
