Steven Kimbrell, 32, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:04 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Probation/Parole Community Supervision Center, 1441 Black River Industrial Park Road, on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kimbrell was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Officers responded to Home Depot, 639 South Westwood Blvd., at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, for a shoplifting complaint. The white male suspect was identified by employees, and he was seen pulling off the lot as officers arrived. A short pursuit ensued, and ended when the suspect abandoned his vehicle and escaped on foot. The investigation continues and criminal charges will follow.

Aaron Povilat, 44, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in front of his residence in the 700 block of Poplar Street after taking a motorized shopping cart from Walmart Supercenter, 333 S. Westwood Blvd., on suspicion of charges of stealing over $750, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving without a license. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Tyran Roseburrow, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:01 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, on the parking lot at McDonald’s, 550 Highway 53, on a Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on traffic offenses. Roseburrow was unable to post bond and was released on his own recognizance.

Curtis Hesselrode was booked in on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of stealing. Angel Hesselrode was booked in on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on possession of controlled substance. They were booked into the Butler County jail.

Alvin Pitts, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:27 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, on the parking lot at Casey’s General Store, 599 E. Pine Blvd., on a Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on stealing. Pitts was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.
