A juvenile student was assault at 1:17 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 at Poplar Bluff High School by an adult female student. A criminal summons for assault was mailed to the suspect.

A student at Poplar Bluff High School was assaulted at 1:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 by another student. This matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Russell Phillips, 41, of Pocahontas, Arkansas was arrested at 10:28 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in the 500 block of West Vine Street on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear on DWI and a Caldwell County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. He was booked into the Butler County Jail.

Corey Holbek, 31, of Poplar Bluff and Tabitha Morris, 35, of Poplar Bluff were arrested at 10:34 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at their residence in the 900 block of Cole Avenue. Holbek was arrested on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for code violations and no insurance and a Butler County warrant for Probation Violation. Morris was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for failure to appear on possession of marijuana. They were both booked into the Butler County Jail.

Two toddlers were found at 11:32 am Thursday, Sept. 22, alone in the 900 block of Harper Street. Both children were dirty and wore diapers soaked with urine and feces. The children were returned to their residence and released to an adult male. The investigation continues.

Jacob Million, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:29 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, during a traffic stop on Cherry Street. Million was unable to provide proof of insurance and his vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene. Million was booked on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance. Million was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Tyler Miles, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:47 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in the 300 block of South Westwood Blvd. Miles was booked in on charges of burglary first degree and stealing – fourth or subsequent offense. He was booked in the Butler County Jail.

A juvenile reported at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, they were assaulted by another juvenile on the property at 360 South 11th St. This matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Lisa Sobelman reported at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, her juvenile son was bitten by a dog in the 800 block of Lester Street.

James Hager reported at 7:23 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, the rear license plate was missing from a vehicle parked at his residence in the 2000 block of Cravens Road.

Officers responded to Rick’s 66 at 700 Highway 53 for a drug overdose at 9:23 pm. Thursday, Sept. 22. EMS administered Narcan and the victim recovered. The victim were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
