Joshua Gunter reported at 12:03 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, his truck missing after he left it on the lot at the Wash Park, 2944 N. Westwood Blvd. It was later determined the truck was towed from the lot by the property owners.

A wallet was left at 12:04 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the front desk of the police department as found property.

Anthony Tarvin, 49, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:17 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, during a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Clare Street. Tarvin was booked in on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of possession of synthetic cannabis, stealing and trespass. Tarvin was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Officers were dispatched at 4:27 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, to the apartments at 505 Oak St. for a domestic dispute between and adult male and his mother. No injury was reported and neither party wanted to press charges.

An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported Friday, Sept. 16, two students were found in possession of an alcoholic beverage on campus. This matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Christina Wilson, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:44 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Walmart Supercenter, 333 South Westwood Blvd., on suspicion of burglary second degree and stealing. She was booked in the Butler County Jail.

Officers responded at 7:48 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, to the Poplar Bluff Junior High School for a report a juvenile was seen with a weapon at a school dance. The investigation determined there was a confrontation between juvenile attendees, but reports that a weapon was displayed were unsubstantiated.

An employee at Menard’s reported at 8:35 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, an attempted theft from the outdoor lumber yard.

Alexis Crowley reported at 9:36 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, her vehicle was struck while it was parked in the area of Mary Street at Benton Street by a vehicle that left the scene. The investigation determined Crowley’s vehicle was driven by the suspect in a domestic assault, and it struck a parked vehicle as he fled the scene.

An employee at Walmart Supercenter reported at 10:33 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, a white male concealed merchandise in a backpack and tried to leave without paying for the items. The suspect was stopped, and will receive a criminal summons for stealing by mail.
