William Martin reported at 7:32 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, a school laptop was stolen from his truck while it was parked at his residence in the 2400 block of Baugh Lane.

William Stewart reported at 8:26 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, he was kidnapped and robbed when he arrived at the residence of a female acquaintance in the 1100 block of Fairmount Street.

Oakdale Care Center director Kelly Shearrer reported at 8:54 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, two counterfeit checks bearing their facility’s name were passed at a bank in Poplar Bluff.

Thomas Kelly reported at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, a pistol, boots, and tools were stolen from his truck while it was parked at his residence in the 700 block of Wilcox Road.

Officers responded at 1:02 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, to the 1800 block of Missouri Avenue for an assault complaint. The victim said the assault occurred at a residence in the 500 block of East Henry Street. Officers went to the residence but the suspects were no longer at the scene. The victim was taken by ambulance to the emergency room.

An employee at Munch and Pump at 1401 South Broadway reportedat 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, they received a counterfeit $100 bill from a customer on Sept. 9. On Sept. 13, a second counterfeit $100 bill was found on the floor of the business. Both bills were printed with “MOTION PICTURE PURPOSES” on the face.

Leslie Kelley was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Kelley was booked on a charge of stealing and released on criminal summons.

Marvin Price, 28, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:18 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, during a traffic stop on West Pine Street. Price was booked in on a Butler County warrant for probation violation and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded at 2:42 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, to Southeast Missouri Residential Services at 2351 Kanell Blvd. for a resident who assaulted staff. Staff was unable to calm or control the resident, and he was taken to the emergency room for evaluation.
