Jonathan Coonce, 23, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:16 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at his residence in the 500 block of Karen Drive. Coonce was booked on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on no insurance and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Braxton Sneed reported at 4:28 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, an adult male acquaintance assaulted him while he was walking on Poplar Street. Sneed left the scene before calling the police. At the time of this report the suspect had not been located.

Jance Gainwell reported at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, someone stole a television and speaker and damaged a glass table at his residence in the 300 block of North G Street.

Alfea Smith reported at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, her boyfriend assaulted her on the parking lot at the Winning Circle at 120 N. 10th St. The suspect left the scene before the police department was called.

A silver GMC pickup with no plates was impounded and towed at 2:49 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, from a traffic stop on North Westwood Boulevard after it was determined the vehicle was not insured and the driver had no license. The driver, Jennifer Goodwin, 41, of Poplar Bluff was given traffic citations and released at the scene.
