Jennifer Condley reported Monday, Oct. 2, her husband left their residence with their children and went to stay at an address in Arkansas. The husband was contacted by phone, and he agreed to bring the children back to Missouri.

An officer at the Probation and Parole Community Supervision Center reported at 10:52 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, a male subject used a “whizzinator” urine delivery device in an effort to provide a false urine sample for drug testing. The device was seized by the suspect’s probation officer, and the matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

David Straw reported at 11:43 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, he received a call from someone who claimed to be a police officer and ordered him to send money electronically. After Straw sent the money, he told the suspect he was going to follow up with the sheriff’s office, and the suspect hung up.

Officers responded at 12:43 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, to a residence in the 500 block of South D Street for a drug overdose. Other persons in the residence began CPR and administered Narcan before the police were called. The victim recovered and refused further medical assistance from EMS.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High School reported at 1:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, a juvenile student threatened to assault her after the student was disciplined for threatening another student. The school suspended the suspect and the matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Julie Hudson, 30, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 5:25 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a code violation. She was released on bond.

Michael Gribble and Emily Kimball reported at 5:51 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, a neighbor disturbed their peace and harassed them at their residence in the 1600 block of Spring Street.

Dana Anderson and Stephen Hood reported at 7:21 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, Anderson’s ex-boyfriend and an unidentified adult female assaulted them during a confrontation at a youth soccer game at Whiteley Park. Anderson and Hood reported the assault after they returned home. Efforts to contact the suspects failed, and a criminal summons for assault was mailed to the male suspect.

Tracy Eaves reported at 8:31 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, her boyfriend assaulted her at their residence in the 800 block of Park Street. The suspect left the scene before the police were called and the matter was referred to the prosecutor.

Brandon Ransom, 32, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:24 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, during the investigation of a single-vehicle accident in the 1000 block of South Broadway. Ransom was booked on charges of DWI, driving while suspended or revoked, and no insurance. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Christiana Thiele reported at 4:47 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, a white male on a bicycle stole a cell phone from her truck while it was parked in front of her apartment building in the 1900 block of South Broadway.

A 29-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 12:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, on County Road 277, one mile west of Neelyville.
According to the report, Ashley N. James, 32, of Neelyville was operating a 2011 Ford Fiesta westbound when it struck the side of a southbound 2000 Toyota 4Runner operated by Bradley L. Trice Jr., 29, of Neelyville, causing the 4Runner to overturn.
Trice was transported by Butler County EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 24-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 9:56 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, on U.S. Highway 60, one mile west of Morehouse.
According to the report, Lacey M. Jones, 24, of Dexter was operating a 2007 Nissa Murano eastbound when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
Jones was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 7:03 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 77, one mile east of Benton.
According to the report, Richard C. Julius, 24, of Puxico was operating a 2011 Ford F-250 westbound when it failed to yield and struck an eastbound 2017 Toyota Prius operated by Stephani N. Schuchart, 37, of Benton.
Schuchart sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, while a 4-year-old girl in the Ford sustained minor injuries and was transported by private conveyance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
