Joy Hicks reported at 10:02 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, her wallet was stolen from the gaming room at the Villa Package Store at 818 Highway 53. The theft was captured on video and the suspect was found at RM Connexions gaming room at 54 Highway 142. Crystal Walls, 42, of Poplar Bluff was arrested without incident. The wallet was returned to the victim. Walls was booked on a charge of stealing and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Natasha Rice reported at 11:22 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, the front license plate was missing from her vehicle.

Officers responded at 12:05 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, to Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. for a shoplifting complaint. The suspects fled the parking lot in a blue passenger vehicle. Officers pursued the suspect vehicle, but the pursuit was terminated due to traffic. The theft was captured on video.

Lester Tinker, 62, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at his residence in the 2000 block of Schweitzer Drive. Tinker was booked on a charge of violating a protection order and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

A property manager at 505 Oak St. reported at 12:07 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, they found an extension cord running from an apartment with utilities to vacant apartment without. Sherry Hively, 30, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Nathaniel Ingram, 30, of Poplar Bluff were issued criminal summons for stealing services and released at the scene.

Officers accompanied a Children’s Division caseworker to a residence in the 2500 block of Lee Street at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, to follow up on a hotline report.

A juvenile female reported at 4:43 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, an adult male acquaintance chased her and struck her in the head with a club from the bed of a pickup. The victim was taken to the emergency room for treatment of the injury to the back of her head. The suspect claimed he struck the victim because she was riding a stolen bicycle. This matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

An employee at the Animal Welfare Alliance facility at 1904 S. Westwood Blvd. reported at 4:55 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, a knob on an exterior door was damaged.

Kaytlyn Spencer reported at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, she was attacked by a large dog on East Midland Street. Spencer sustained minor injury, but declined medical treatment.

Sheketa Dunlap, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:29 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, during a traffic stop on Main Street. Dunlap was booked on a Butler County warrant for stealing and lodged in the Butler County jail.
