Ryan L. Murrow, 30, of Doniphan was arrested at 11:19 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in Ripley County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was released.

Tara J. Rogers, 33, of Williamsville was arrested at 7:14 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in Wayne County on a Wayne County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance. She was booked at the Wayne County jail.

The National Instant Background Check System (NICS) reported on Saturday, Oct. 21, a firearm transfer was denied at Faraone Pawn after it was determined the purchaser had a pending felony criminal charge.

The owner of the Game Court at 2908 N. Westwood Blvd. reported at 1:17 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, someone tried to break into the building overnight.

An employee at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. reported at 1:17 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, a silver 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser had been abandoned on the parking lot. Efforts to contact the registered owner failed and the vehicle was towed from the lot.

Traci Barbour reported at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, appliances were stolen from a rental property in the 400 block of Arthur Street.

Teaira Jamerson reported at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, a prepaid debit card mailed to her residence was stolen.

Officers responded at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, to a three-vehicle accident in the 700 block of North Westwood Boulevard. Two drivers reported the driver of a white 2002 Ford Mustang left the scene on foot and did not return. The vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.

Lori Cole reported at 6:36 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, a wallet containing cash, debit cards, and ID was stolen from her car while it was parked at her residence in the 200 block of South Ninth Street. Cole later called to say she found the missing items.

Bobby McClain reported at 6:42 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, cash was missing from his residence in the 500 block of Lester Street.

An adult female reported at 7:06 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, an adult female acquaintance stole a bag and ID after she left it at a friend’s residence. The suspect claimed she gave the victim $20 to purchase marijuana, and the victim never returned. The suspect kept the bag and ID for collateral but threw it away after the victim never returned the $20. Both parties were issued criminal summons for stealing.

Kimberly Axelson, 27, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:18 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, on West Henry Street. Axelson was booked on a Stoddard County warrant for failure to appear on insufficient funds check, a Malden municipal warrant for failure to appear on shoplifting, and a Butler County warrant for probation violation. She was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Justin McBride reported at 7:22 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, he was threatened by an adult male acquaintance during a confrontation at Huck’s at 703 N. Westwood Blvd.

Donald Brown reported at 9:03 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, he received a call from someone who claimed to be an agent with the U.S. Treasury Department. The suspect told Brown he wanted to deposit cash into his account and needed the account numbers. Brown later grew suspicious and called the police.

A black 2007 Ford Expedition was impounded and towed at 10:21 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, from a traffic stop on Highway 53 after it was determined the vehicle was not registered and was not insured. Driver Joshlyn Forbes, 30, of Poplar Bluff was issued traffic tickets and released at the scene.

Officers responded at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, to a report of an adult suffering a mental health crisis at a residence in the 600 block of West Victor Street. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
