Monica Greer, 37, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 8:07 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, during a traffic stop on Park Street. Greer was booked on a Christian County warrant for failure to appear on bad checks with a $1,000 bond, and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported at 10:01 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, that a juvenile student was caught using a THC vaping device in the building. The vaping device was seized and placed into evidence, and this matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

A black 2020 Honda motorcycle was found abandoned at 1:56 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, in the parking lot at Empire Comfort Systems at 2450 South 11th St. The motorcycle was impounded and towed from the scene.

Officers responded at 4:07 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, to a report of a fight in the parking lot at Wal-Mart Supercenter at 333 South Westwood Blvd. The participants left the scene prior to officer arrival.

An employee at Goodwill at 1335 North Westwood Blvd reported at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, that a plastic magazine and ammunition were dropped off in their collection box. These items were seized and placed into evidence.

Kathleen Morey, 35, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, during a traffic stop on North Main Street. Morey was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on stealing and possession of drug paraphernalia with a $351 bond. Morey was unable to post bond, and she was released on her own recognizance.

Officers were contacted at 9:33 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, by a person suffering a mental health crisis in front of the police department at 911 Shelby Road. The victim was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

Karaston Kirkley, 27, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, at Jay’s Corner Store at 1040 S. Broadway. Kirkley was booked on a probation/parole warrant for parole violation with no bond, a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on charges of stealing with a $250 bond and charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.
