At 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, an employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High School reported a juvenile student assaulting another juvenile student in the school gym. The suspect was released to a parent and the matter was referred to the juvenile office.

At 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, an adult female reported finding a GPS tracking device on her vehicle. The device was seized and placed into evidence.

At 12:37 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, a real estate agent reported a stolen exterior air conditioner unit from a property in the 300 block of West Victor Street.

At 1:02 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, an employee at Bob Sutton Realty reported a break-in at a building they owned at 2323 Cheshire Blvd. where wiring was stolen.

At 1:22 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, Justin Summers, 40, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at a residence in the 400 block of North Main Street. Summers was booked in on a Butler County warrant for probation violation with a $20,000 cash only bond and a Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on peace disturbance with a $250 bond. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

At 1:43 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, an employee at Grateful Headz at 809 W. Pine St. reported a white male stealing a vaping device from the store. The theft was captured on surveillance video, and Joshua Bardell, 20, of Poplar Bluff, was detained a short distance from the scene. The stolen item was returned to the store and Bardell was issued a criminal summons for stealing and released.

Michelle Foster 50, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 5:36 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, in the 100 block of South Westwood Boulevard. Foster was booked in on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on a traffic offense with a $500 bond. Foster was unable to post bond, and she was released on her own recognizance.

At 5:56 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, an employee reported a black male stealing several items from the store. The suspect left the store before the police were called.

At 6:09 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, James Kinnard reported a chainsaw being stolen from the bed of his truck.

At 7:12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, an employee at Home Depot at 639 S. Westwood Blvd. reported two white females stealing several items in a shopping cart. The theft was captured on video, and the investigation continues.

At 1:54 a.m. Thursday, May 11, John Foster reported his car was stolen from the parking lot at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at 3100 Oak Grove Rd. Foster later called to report he found his car on the lot.
